Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of friendsofwitneycp.org (the "Website"), operated by Friends of Witney CP, a registered charity (charity number 1202090). By using the Website, signing up to volunteer, booking an event, or making a payment through it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Website.

Friends of Witney CP is the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) supporting Witney Community Primary School. We are an independent registered charity and are not part of the school itself, though we work closely with it to support pupils, families and staff.

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes, and in particular:

• Not to submit false, misleading or fraudulent information via any form (including volunteer sign-up, booking, or contact forms).

• Not to attempt to disrupt, hack, or interfere with the operation of the Website.

• Not to use the Website to harass, abuse or harm another person.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Website, or remove content, at our discretion, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

Volunteer roles and event help slots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. Submitting a sign-up does not guarantee a role if the relevant slots have already been filled. We reserve the right to amend, cancel or reassign volunteering roles where reasonably necessary, and will try to let you know if this affects you.

Where you book a place at an event through the Website, your booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation (by email or on-screen). Event details, dates and times are correct at the time of publishing but may occasionally change; we will try to give reasonable notice of any changes or cancellations.

Where the Website allows you to pay for event tickets, goods, or make a contribution, payments are processed securely through Wix Payments and/or PayPal. All prices are shown in GBP (£) and include any applicable fees unless stated otherwise. We do not store your full card or payment details; these are handled directly by our payment providers in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies.

All sales made through the Website — including event tickets, goods and contributions — are final. We do not offer refunds or returns on any items or tickets purchased, except where required by law (for example, if an event is cancelled entirely by us, or where goods are found to be faulty). If you believe you have a valid reason for a refund, please contact us at friendsofwcps@gmail.com and we will consider your request.

The content on this Website, including text, images and logos, belongs to Friends of Witney CP or is used with permission, unless otherwise stated. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, but may not reproduce, distribute or otherwise use any content without our prior written consent.

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services (such as Wix, Wix Bookings, Wix Payments, and PayPal) that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these third parties, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

We run this Website on a voluntary, not-for-profit basis to support our school community. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Website, or from any event, booking, or volunteering activity organised through it. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Website or our activities. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of the Website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
