About the Friends
The Friends of Witney Community Primary School (also known as the Friends of Witney C.P. or Friends of WCPS) is our school's Parent Teacher Association. Working together with the school's leadership team, teachers and teaching partners, we support the school and enhance our children's education by raising money to fund extra activities and resources that cannot be covered by the school's budget.
The Association currently has around 30 members, including trustees, wider committee members and volunteers. We are governed by a small council of trustees, who are currently:

The trustees and wider committee members meet 1-2 times a term to keep up-to-date, plan future initiatives and brainstorm fundraising ideas. We also hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) every January, which all staff and parents are encouraged to attend, and during which we vote in new trustees and say goodbye to any who are retiring.

Volunteering with the Friends
All of our members are volunteers, kindly giving their time and headspace to keep the PTA running, come up with ideas to raise funds, and turn those ideas in to concrete activities and initiatives.
In particular, we rely heavily on volunteers to run the events that raise funds for the school and enable us to do those things that make our children's time at Witney C.P. so special.

The official stuff
The object of the association is to advance the education of pupils in the school, in particular by:

developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school, and

engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
