Books & bangers

Books and Bangers is a wonderful event where the teachers create a cosy and inviting atmosphere in the classrooms after school in which to inspire a love of reading in the children. Children return to school after hours in their pyjamas and dressing gowns, with a cuddly toy ready to snuggle down and listen to stories read to them by their teachers.

Parents are invited along to spend some time together while the children are read to. This offers parents the opportunity to share problems and tricks to support a love of reading in young people and everyone.

This year the Friends will not only be offering a free hot dog for all children from the school but you can purchase an extra one for siblings and you can grab a chilli and jacket potato so everyone gets their dinner!

Witney Library will also be there to give you an idea of the books you can borrow for free and to support you with getting your membership.

So don't delay getting your bangers and chilli booked today.

We do need an idea of numbers on the food so we can ensure we fully cater for everyone!
